''59 Corvette

Restored Corvette

This is an original 1959 Corvette fully restored at Hot Rod Express.

The paint is PPG Global base clear.  Everything on this car works perfectly. It is very fast and handles great, it was built not just to look at but to be driven.

 The car is sitting on a Jim Meyer road racing chassis with independent front suspension, rack and pinion, polished stainless A arms and sway bars.

In the rear, 4 bar with coil over shocks.

It has a 5 speed transmission with hydraulic clutch and a Currie 9 inch 373 posi in the rear.

Stopping power is provided by Willwood 12 inch vented cross drilled rotors, four piston polished billet calipers, and a billet master cylinder.

It has a 100% restored working soft top, and a restored hard top.

Other cool features include Sanderson full length ceramic coated headers, and and a Griffin aluminum radiator.

Motor

 

The motor, by Arizona Speed and Marine, is a 450 HP 383 with a custom fuel injection made for this car to clear the hood and resemble the factory components.
