But how do you know if your frog is a prince? Our chief technical correspondent Rick hunter discusses some ways to find out. He says you really don’t know what you’re sitting on until you have an expert appraise it.

Rick helps you decide whether it makes sense to invest in some primarily cosmetic restoration work on “a find of a lifetime” or if you’ve got a fun toy that you can keep for yourself. Basically if a vintage car has good “bones” sometimes all you need are minor but high impact investments that yield the biggest return on investment at auction.
